About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is hosting an Industry Day event specifically designed for the surplus dealership community. This Special Notice, posted on February 9, 2026, invites surplus dealers to participate in a virtual event scheduled for February 26, 2026, at 10:30 Eastern time via Microsoft Teams. The Industry Day represents DLA's ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships with its surplus dealership supply base and gathering insights to improve business operations. Interested surplus dealerships are invited to register by emailing the designated points of contact, Gary Miller or Treesa Son. The event is free to attend and carries no set-aside restrictions.
The primary objective of this Industry Day is to facilitate dialogue between DLA and surplus dealers regarding operational improvements, inventory management practices, and the overall acquisition model for surplus offerings. Key deadlines include a February 25, 2026, submission date for completed questionnaires and registration requests for one-on-one discussion sessions, which must be submitted via email to the points of contact. All surplus dealerships are eligible to participate, with no specific qualifications or certifications required. The event agenda includes a DLA presentation followed by an open discussion forum and private one-hour consultation sessions available on February 26 or 27, 2026. Participants should complete a questionnaire addressing topics such as inventory models, demand forecasting, RFI experience, and suggestions for process improvements prior to attending the Industry Day.
