About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking repair and modification services for display units under NSN 7G-5895-016039583, with a quantity of 57 units required for delivery FOB origin. The government intends to use sole source procurement authority under FAR 6.302-1 because it does not own the technical data rights necessary to competitively procure these services, and acquiring the data or reverse engineering the parts has been determined to be uneconomical. While this is structured as a sole source procurement, all responsible sources may express interest and submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations within 45 days of the notice publication date of June 17, 2025 (or 30 days if award is made under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The government will consider all responses received within this timeframe solely to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement, though the final decision remains at the government's discretion. Award will only be made to offerors who meet qualification requirements in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1 at the time of award.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and no incumbent contractors are specifically identified in the notice. The contract opportunity does not specify award values or budget ranges for the repair and modification services. The procurement involves 57 display units falling under the IT and Telecom category for analog voice products hardware, with the solicitation due date set for July 3, 2025. The acquisition is subject to Free Trade Agreements and World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement provisions if the corresponding DFARS clauses are included in the final solicitation. Based on market research, the government has determined not to use FAR Part 12 commercial item acquisition procedures, though interested parties have 15 days from the notice date to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with commercial items.
