The planned contract structure includes a base year with four one-year option periods, covering a total potential performance period from September 1, 2025, through multiple years. Each contract year will consist of up to 20 disinterment events, with each event limited to no more than 8 gravesites and requiring six contractor support personnel to assist cemetery staff. The contractor will be responsible for preparing gravesites, carefully excavating and extracting caskets, ensuring site safety, and restoring the gravesites through backfilling and sodding. No incumbent contractor or specific budget ranges were identified in the notice, and the government emphasizes this is market research to inform future solicitation strategies rather than a commitment to procurement.
