About this opportunity

The Army Contracting Command - Letterkenny Contracting Office is conducting market research to identify potential sources for Direct Current Motors, specifically Army Part Number 13659122 with NSN 6105-01-632-5761. This pre-solicitation notice is aimed at identifying qualified contractors capable of manufacturing these motors, with a focus on DoD contractors who have previously held government contracts. The market research will help determine the procurement method, which may include a small business set-aside or full and open competition. Interested parties must submit a detailed capability statement by May 27, 2025, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time, highlighting their organizational capacity, past performance, and technical capabilities. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF), and the drawing for the motor specifications is restricted to DoD contractors with previous contractual experience.

The pre-solicitation does not specify a precise award value or quantity of motors to be procured, and no set-aside designation has been definitively established at this stage. The procurement falls under NAICS code 335312 for Motor and Generator Manufacturing, indicating the specific industrial category for potential bidders. Contractors are explicitly instructed not to include pricing information in their submissions, as this is purely a market research effort to gauge industry capability. The government will evaluate the market information to assess potential suppliers' capacity to provide products consistent with the described scope and scale. Importantly, no feedback will be provided to companies regarding their submissions, and telephone inquiries will not be accepted, emphasizing a structured and formal approach to this market research process.
