About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Test Center, specifically the Air Force Test Center Operational Contracting Squadron at Eglin AFB, FL, has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for Dining Maintenance Services. The contract will be awarded to ITW Food Equipment Group, LLC DBA Hobart Corporation, located in Glenview, Illinois. The procurement covers comprehensive maintenance services for food service equipment, including quarterly preventative maintenance and on-call remedial maintenance available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The contract will utilize the NAICS code 722310 with a size standard of $35.5M and is being pursued under 10 United States Code (USC) 2304(c)(1), which permits other than full and open competition. The base period is set for 6 months from April 1, 2025 to September 30, 2025, with two additional option years possible.
The primary objective of this Special Notice is to inform potential contractors about the upcoming maintenance services contract and gather information about market capabilities. Contractors interested in providing input must submit written responses electronically to Christina A. Blair by March 10, 2025, at 12:00 PM Central time. The maintenance services will include comprehensive quarterly preventative maintenance and remedial on-call services with a 24-hour normal response time for repairs. Notably, this is not a formal solicitation, and no Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued. The Air Force has determined that Hobart Corporation is the only vendor capable of providing the full scope of services required by the Nutritional Medicine Flight. Potential respondents should provide clear documentation demonstrating their capability to fully provide the required services, understanding that verbal responses will not be considered. The contract will cover all parts and labor in a single comprehensive quarterly price, with emergency maintenance determinations reserved exclusively for the Flight Chief, NCOIC of Production, or equipment custodian.
