About this opportunity

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Public Buildings Service, Region 8 is seeking highly qualified construction firms to participate in a design-build project at the Denver Federal Center (DFC) campus. The project involves the design and construction of various infrastructure items, including electric vehicle charging stations, bridge repairs, water pipe replacement, paving, and security fence replacement, across an area of approximately 2.7 to 3 million square feet. All asphalt and concrete must meet low embodied carbon standards as required by the Inflation Reduction Act. The project is expected to be awarded in Spring 2025 through a two-phase design-build procurement process, with the first phase evaluating technical approach, qualifications, and past performance. Interested firms should submit a capability statement with details on similar projects completed within the last 5 years, as well as complete the required response form by July 8, 2024.

There is no set-aside designation for this procurement. The government has not provided any information about potential incumbents or current contractors. The announcement does not specify an award value or budget range, but indicates that the project will coincide with a campus-wide energy infrastructure project, requiring close coordination to eliminate or reduce costs, delays, and repetition of work.

The Public Building Service (PBS) is seeking information from vendors in order to determine which companies have the skills to support these efforts and how they would go about providing those services to the US federal government. Specifically, we are looking for companies who have experience in designing and constructing parking lots, concrete pathways, electrical infrastructure, culverts, vehicle and pedestrian bridges, security fencing, vehicle roadway paving, and security fence design and construction.
