About this opportunity
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries has issued a Special Notice for the development and piloting of next-generation survey techniques using imaging sonar instruments to improve data quality collected from marine habitats with low visibility. The purpose of this effort is to evaluate the capabilities and feasibility of ARIS Explorer 3000 imaging sonars through a base purchase of two units and potential options to purchase up to an additional four units.
Vendors who believe they can meet this requirement are required to submit a written affirmative response demonstrating their capability, including detailed technical information, within 15 calendar days by the due date of June 18, 2024. The government will use the responses to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement for future requirements. The period of performance is expected to begin on July 1, 2024, and run through June 30, 2029. There is no set-aside for this procurement, and it is open to all interested and qualified vendors.
