About this opportunity
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency seeks to develop low-cost, sensitive, rapidly reconfigurable diagnostics and biosurveillance technologies leveraging advances in gene editing through its Detect It with Gene Editing Technologies program. Eligible organizations are invited to submit proposals for research in areas including point-of-need and massively multiplexed detection using human or animal models to be evaluated based on technical approach, capability for integration into field deployable platforms, and engagement with regulatory agencies. Proposal abstracts are due January 7, 2020 and full proposals are due February 25, 2020.
There is no set-aside designated for this opportunity. Research will fall under NAICS codes 541715 and PSC codes C199 and R425, with no current contractors identified. Multiple awards are anticipated as contracts, cooperative agreements, or other transactions to complete efforts within 24 months and demonstrate the ability to achieve limits of detection of less than 100 copies of nucleic acid from a variety of sample types within 15 minutes, though individual phase budgets are not specified.
