About this opportunity
The Department of Labor Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management is seeking design-build and construction services in support of Job Corps Centers nationwide. Services procured will encompass general building renovation, vertical construction, horizontal construction, security and force protection of new and existing facilities, and incidental work performed on federally owned, leased, or agreement-based properties across the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories. The primary NAICS classification is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction), with task orders potentially utilizing other appropriate construction-related NAICS codes. The contract will be structured as a series of Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) with individual task orders assigned and accomplished in accordance with specific requirements. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on January 13, 2026, with a deadline of February 27, 2026 for submission of responses.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to eligible small business concerns. The contract will consist of a five-year ordering period from the date of award, providing a sustained engagement opportunity for selected contractors supporting Job Corps' mission to serve eligible young people ages 16 through 24 across the nation's 121 residential training facilities. The notice does not identify any current incumbents or specific budget allocation, though the multi-year, nationwide scope across numerous facilities suggests substantial aggregate contract value. As a MATOC structure, multiple contractors will be awarded and called upon to execute various task orders based on individual project requirements and geographic needs.
