About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is seeking design and report services for dredging projects at Tyndall Air Force Base to improve marine navigational access. Specifically, the contract will cover design support for four locations: 325 FSS Beacon Beach Marina Floating Docks, 325 FSS Bonita Bay Recreational Docks, 53 WEG Large Boat Piers, and Crooked Island Sound Channel. These services are part of the base's broader natural disaster recovery efforts following Hurricane Michael's damage in 2018, with the primary objective of ensuring safe marine operations for mission and tenant unit activities. The opportunity falls under the Engineering Services NAICS category (541330) and is classified as an Architect and Engineering general service. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on May 14, 2025, with responses due by June 9, 2025, indicating a relatively short response window for interested contractors.
The contract is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, which means only small businesses can compete for this opportunity. While specific award values are not mentioned in the pre-solicitation notice, the project involves comprehensive design and construction support for multiple marine infrastructure locations. The scope appears to be focused on detailed engineering assessments and recommendations for dredging activities to restore and improve marine access points. The project is directly linked to Tyndall AFB's ongoing infrastructure restoration efforts, suggesting potential for future related contract opportunities. The precise timeline for service delivery is not explicitly stated, but the context implies these services are part of an urgent post-hurricane recovery and infrastructure improvement initiative.
