About this opportunity
The Executive Office for United States Attorneys, Department of Justice, is soliciting quotes for Deposition Court Reporting Services on behalf of the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Alaska, with questions due November 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM Eastern and quotes due November 17, 2026 at 1:00 PM Eastern. The acquisition is a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS 561492, and offerors must verify small business status in their quote or it will not be considered for award. The contract is an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity time-and-materials arrangement.
Services are performed in Anchorage, Alaska, within 50 miles of Anchorage, with remote deposition capability required. The base year runs February 16, 2027 through February 15, 2028, followed by four one-year options through February 15, 2032, and a potential six-month extension. The government guarantees a minimum of $1,000.00 over the contract life. The pricing schedule lists estimated base-period quantities, including 2,363 units of 10-business-day transcripts, 314 pages of keyword indexing, 1,354 pages of exhibit copies, 40 hours of videographer attendance, and 95 hours of attendance, all marked as estimates not to exceed.
The contractor must provide a minimum of two court reporters and one videographer, all of whom require security clearances. Grand jury work falls under Rule 6(e), requiring annual Rule 6(e) training, alarm monitoring with 15-minute response, standalone computers, and return of originals to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Transcripts are delivered as searchable PDFs via USAfx in the formats the government specifies. Department of Labor Wage Determination 2015-5681, Revision 29, under the Service Contract Act, applies.
Evaluation factors are Technical (key personnel and remote deposition capabilities) and Past Performance (up to three references within three years), which combined are significantly more important than Price. Quotes and questions go by email to Contracting Officer Brandon Wish at brandon.wish@usdoj.gov.
