PROJECT NAME: Denny Creek Trailhead (Phase 1)
SCOPE OF CONTRACT: This project involves the construction of a new trailhead parking area and includes but is not limited to: construction surveying/staking, clearing, excavation, embankment, culverts, dense graded and permeable/porous aggregate base and asphalt surface courses, pavement markings, wheelstops, signs, trail construction, and a two-panel kiosk. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation of supplies, and perform all work required according to the drawings and specifications of the contract.
PROJECT LOCATION / DRIVING DIRECTIONS: The project is located in King County, Washington. T22N, R11E, Sec. 8. From Exit 47 on I-90, go to the north side of the freeway, turn right at the ‘T' intersection, go about 500' and turn left on to Road #58 just after the underpass. Then take FS Road #58 for 2.5 miles east and north to the project site.
DISCLOSURE OF THE MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: Between $250,000 and $500,000.
WORK RESTRICTIONS: There shall be no construction activity from noon on Friday through Sunday, or on holidays during the campground operating season (mid-May through mid-September).
PRE-BID MEETING: The Forest Service will not hold a pre-proposal meeting for this project so interested offerors are advised to visit the project location in order to submit an accurate price to the Forest Service.
BID BOND, PAYMENT BOND & PERFORMANCE BOND: Will be required based on the disclosed magnitude of the construction project above.
ESTIMATED START DATE: July 20, 2015.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Forty-Five (45) Calendar Days
