About this opportunity
NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound is procuring an F/K Air Plus Blower Upgrade (Gen1/Gen2) for deicing truck operations in support of AIMD Misawa, with the specific part number 975-01054B manufactured by Global Ground Support LLC. This firm fixed-price supply contract is being negotiated on a brand name basis under FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures, as the current ProCharger GEN1 component has been obsolete since 2006 and requires upgrading to GEN2 technology. The procurement specifically targets the original equipment manufacturer due to the need for a direct replacement part that maintains complete form, fit, and function compatibility with existing squadron operations. The Navy will evaluate offers based on technical factors including delivery date, price, and past performance, with vendors required to provide an authorization letter from the OEM along with their quotes. The solicitation was posted on August 6, 2025, with responses due by August 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM, and all questions must be directed to the purchasing agent via email.
Despite the solicitation documents indicating a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) set-aside designation, the primary notice states no set-aside is being used, with Global Ground Support LLC identified as the targeted brand name supplier for this sole source procurement. The contract will be administered by the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Transportation office in Bremerton, Washington, though no specific award value or budget range has been disclosed in the available documentation. The required delivery date is September 25, 2025, indicating a relatively tight timeline for contract execution and part delivery. Performance will take place in Japan, specifically supporting operations at AIMD Misawa, demonstrating the international scope of this Navy logistics requirement. Vendors must maintain current registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award consideration. The procurement falls under NAICS code 336390 for Other Motor Vehicle Parts Manufacturing and PSC code 2590 for Miscellaneous Vehicular Components.
