The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in support of the KC-130J community is seeking information regarding how an interested contractor could provide qualified Support Equipment for the KC-130J platform.
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
In support of the KC-130J community, the government anticipates a requirement Defect Measurement Video Borescope Sets (6mm). The Government requires Defect Measurement Video Borescope Sets (6mm) to support the KC-130J Super Hercules Program. This Defect Measurement Video Borescope Set is a portable, ruggedized and battery-operated unit used to perform remote visual inspections of the KC-130J hydro-mechanical systems and the inside of the engine. It is used to inspect, analyze, and record data and measurements for defects found (i.e. cracks, fractures, fluid leads, foreign object damage, wear and erosion) in inaccessible areas of the aircraft during maintenance procedures. The government does not possess the rights or the manufacturing data for such parts. Interested contractors must be able show the ability, or the anticipated ability, to fulfill stated requirement.

To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
