About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 19 awarded contract 47QTCA22D00CM to Payton Merger Sub II LLC on a sole-source basis on May 29, 2026, for Pharmacy AudioCare Software Licenses and Support.
The justification, issued under FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source), rests on AudioCARE's proprietary and patent-protected design. Technical market research identified only two alternatives—ScriptPro Inventory Management and DSS Diassyst—neither of which met operational requirements due to platform incompatibility or population-specific limitations. AudioCARE is the sole authorized distributor; no third-party dealers can sell, service, or support the required products.
This is a follow-on task order against existing GSA Federal Supply Schedules contract 47QTCA22D00CM. The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System is procuring Audio PREFILL, TM PREFILL, and TM COMMUNICATOR applications, along with the ACS-TM-BASE license providing 120,000 texts annually. The software will enable pharmacy services to execute automated prescription refill notifications, ad-hoc communications, patient surveys, wellness messages, and drug and equipment recalls. The VA currently operates integrated AudioCARE systems across pharmacy, Care in the Community, and Health Administration Service functions.
Performance period is May 20, 2026, through May 19, 2031, consisting of a base year and four one-year option periods. Place of performance is the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System, with the contracting office in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Contracting Officer John Cheng (303-712-5776, John.Cheng2@va.gov) is the point of contact. Award value is not disclosed.
