About this opportunity

The Naval Supply Systems Command intends to solicit repair or modification of cylinder assemblies (NSN 7R-1650-015743797-F7, quantity 5 each, FOB origin) with a response deadline of November 2, 2026.

This procurement requires Government source approval prior to contract award because the item is flight critical. Only sources previously approved by the Government have been solicited. Unapproved sources must submit source-approval documentation from the relevant NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) information brochure alongside their proposal, including technical data demonstrating production experience with the same or similar item. Offers lacking required source-approval data or failing to document prior submission of that data will not be considered for award. If source-approval evaluation cannot be completed in time to meet Government requirements, award may proceed based on Fleet support considerations using previously approved sources.

The item is classified as commercial, nondevelopmental, or off-the-shelf and is governed by commercial item acquisition rules. Approval timelines for new sources are typically incompatible with solicitation schedules, creating a practical barrier to competition from unapproved vendors.

Interested parties should reference the NAVSUP WSS Business Opportunities portal for source-approval guidance specific to spares or repair categories.
