The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Baltimore has issued a Special Notice for a new Cybersecurity Operations Facility project targeting Navy and Marine Corps infrastructure. The opportunity is classified under the Commercial and Institutional Building Construction NAICS category and involves constructing a three-story administrative and cybersecurity facility. This is currently a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) that provides 95% of the project's drawings and specifications. The contract opportunity was posted on January 10, 2025, with a response deadline of February 7, 2025. The solicitation is expected to be officially released around March 10, 2025.
The primary objective of this Special Notice is to gather industry input and feedback on the draft RFP to improve the final solicitation document. Contractors are invited to review the draft RFP and provide comprehensive feedback through ProjNet, with the understanding that no official responses will be issued during this draft phase. While there is no specific set-aside for this contract, interested contractors should be prepared to submit detailed comments and suggestions that could enhance the RFP's clarity and effectiveness. The project represents a significant opportunity for construction firms specializing in complex government facility development, particularly those with experience in cybersecurity and administrative building construction.
