About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy's Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center in Norfolk, VA is seeking to procure original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Cummins diesel generator spare parts for the TSV5 Vindicator vessel. The solicitation covers replacement parts for four Cummins QSK60 main diesel generators and one Cummins KTA19 emergency diesel generator, with a focus on parts that are completely compatible with existing equipment. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and submit a capability statement through beta.SAM.gov to be considered. The evaluation will prioritize technical certifications, including verification of technical documentation, maintenance requirements, and authorized reseller status, with an emphasis on providing new parts in original packaging. The solicitation is being issued on May 6, 2025, with proposals due by May 13, 2025, and all questions should be directed to Daniel Petro or Chris Whiteside via their provided government email addresses.
The contract is not set aside for any specific business category and will be awarded under a firm fixed-price structure using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and Subpart 13.5 procedures. The place of performance is located at Fort Story, VA 23459, with parts to be delivered by September 30, 2025. The procurement falls under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 333618 for Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing and Product Service Code (PSC) 2815 for Diesel Engines and Components. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the procurement is funded through Navy Operations & Maintenance appropriations, and the government has determined the anticipated costs to be fair and reasonable. The solicitation emphasizes that any deviation from OEM parts could potentially require replacement of the entire diesel generator system, underscoring the critical nature of sourcing exact, compatible replacement components.
