About this opportunity

The National Institute of Standards and Technology seeks nine line items of cryogenic nano-positioner equipment and controllers, with quotations due June 25. This is an unrestricted commercial procurement conducted under FAR Part 12 with no set-aside.

Place of performance is Boulder, Colorado (325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305). The equipment will characterize superconducting devices and circuits for pi-ground state Josephson junction research and testing of superconducting digital logic circuits. All items must be new, non-magnetic, and compatible with temperatures below 4 Kelvin and vacuum pressures below 1×10⁸ Torr. The nine line items include eight X-axis nanopositioners with 20 mm range and greater than 200 g load capacity; two Z-axis nanopositioners with 5 mm range and greater than 200 g load at 4K; two smaller Z-axis nanopositioners with 5 mm range and greater than 100 g load at 4K; titanium and ceramic adapters; two slip-stick drive units with bipolar control (10–300V range, 10–3000 Hz frequency); a 3-axis preamplifier; a 9-axis preamplifier; two X flexure scanning stages with greater than 200 micrometers/volt sensitivity; and one Z flexure scanning stage with greater than 40 micrometers/volt sensitivity. All nanopositioners must include full-range capacitive position encoding. The contractor must deliver a complete system inclusive of FOB Destination delivery, installation, warranty, and training. Required delivery is sixteen weeks after receipt of order. Quotations must be firm-fixed, include all shipping and delivery fees, with payment terms Net 30.
