About this opportunity

The Department of State Office of Acquisition Management is conducting market research through a Request for Information/Sources Sought to assess technical capabilities and market availability of Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) defensive equipment solutions, with responses due June 16, 2026. This is a market research effort only and does not constitute a solicitation.

The baseline system must provide continuous, real-time drone detection, tracking, identification, and controlled mitigation effective against Group 1 and Group 2 Unmanned Aircraft Systems in diverse, high-clutter operational environments. Respondents must demonstrate how their system architecture handles complex environmental clutter, autonomous threats, and protocol-level integration.

The RFI seeks company profile information including CAGE Code, Unique Entity Identifier, business size, socioeconomic status, applicable NAICS codes, and point of contact details. Respondents must complete a technical questionnaire addressing specific C-UAS capability requirements and indicate whether they currently perform similar work or can obtain capabilities through existing Government contracts, providing relevant contract numbers.

Prospective contractors must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be eligible for award of a Department of State contract. The primary objective is to identify capable sources and determine the technical maturity and operational feasibility of comprehensive, multi-layered C-UAS defensive equipment solutions. This market research activity is identified as Solicitation Number 19AQMM26R0289.
