About this opportunity
The United States Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center, specifically the Counter small-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) branch (AFLCMC/ESSC), is seeking information regarding Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) technologies designed to combat small unmanned aircraft systems in Groups 1, 2, and 3. The Air Force is interested in systems capable of receiving track data and cues from external sensors, then utilizing those inputs to laze targets and launch guided Hydra 70 APKWS rockets. Key requirements for vendor responses include compliance with US government and Trade Agreements Act (TAA) regulations, demonstration of sufficient test and reliability data, and achievement of a minimum Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 6. Vendors are instructed to provide comprehensive technical, operational, and pricing information about their systems, including hardware configuration, mobility characteristics, tracking methodology, networking capabilities, engagement success rates, operational limitations, and software specifications. The deadline for submitting responses to this Request for Information is December 31, 2025, with submissions directed to Contracting Officer Robert Gill, Contract Specialist Ciabha Kelleher, and Program Manager Captain Thomas Greene via email.
This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice issued for market research and information exchange purposes only, with no set-aside designations applied and no guarantee of a future procurement action. No incumbent contractors or current award values are identified in this RFI, as the government is conducting market research to evaluate industry capabilities and offerings. The notice does not specify a budget range or contract value, nor does it establish a timeline for potential follow-on procurement actions. Vendors should note that this is a voluntary information-gathering process and that the government will not compensate vendors for their RFI submissions. Interested parties are encouraged to provide detailed supporting documentation, including technical data, system architecture diagrams, test results, quality control practices, training requirements, and pricing models to support their responses.
