About this opportunity
The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), a Department of Energy facility, is issuing a Request for Information to identify suppliers of Commercial Off-The-Shelf arc-rated clothing, with response due August 11, 2026, and an anticipated five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement beginning October 1, 2026.
The contract structure includes a one-year base period followed by four consecutive one-year renewal options. PPPL seeks vendors capable of supplying arc-rated apparel complying with ASTM F1506-2015, F1959/F1959M-2015, D6413-99, and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.331–.335 Subpart S and 1910.269 standards. Vendors must demonstrate inventory breadth across multiple size ranges and provide firm-fixed pricing with corporate or volume-based discounts committed for the full five-year term.
A distinctive technical requirement is Oracle Cloud/ERP punchout integration capability using cXML or OCI protocols to automate procurement workflows. Additional operational requirements include automated monthly transaction summaries due by the 10th of each month; return procedures and user allocation management with real-time spending limit enforcement; and capability to manage individual yearly user dollar allocations with dynamic balance restoration following returns. Vendors must register in the Princeton Prime Supplier Portal for electronic invoicing and direct deposit, and deliver compliance certifications and Material Safety Data Sheets for flame-resistant chemical treatments.
Interested vendors must submit capability statements addressing eleven specific sections, using the provided Vendor Submission Form template (Appendix A) without alterations, to Marissa Zara at mzara@pppl.gov by August 11, 2026.
