About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Medical Supplier Operations Directorate intends to issue Request for Proposal SPE2D0-25-R-0001 for medical and surgical supplies under the Corporate Exigency Contract (CEC) Medical Surgical Solicitation. The procurement covers 4,767 product line items across four major stock classes: surgical dressing materials (bandages, gauze, dressings), medical and surgical instruments and equipment (anesthesia apparatus, respirators, sutures), dental instruments and equipment (dental engines, orthodontic appliances), and imaging equipment and supplies (X-ray equipment, CT scanners, MRI machines). The solicitation is structured with weekly closings to encourage participation from both small and large businesses, allowing offerors to propose support for as few as one line item or up to all designated products with readiness requirements. This pre-solicitation notice was posted on September 2, 2025, with a due date of September 17, 2025. The contract will be issued as unrestricted with no specific evaluation criteria detailed in this preliminary notice.

The solicitation carries no set-aside designation, making it available to all qualified contractors regardless of size. The flexible structure allows businesses of varying capacities to participate meaningfully in the procurement process, as they can selectively bid on product categories that align with their manufacturing or distribution capabilities. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in this pre-solicitation notice. The notice does not specify contract values, budget ranges, or performance timelines beyond the weekly closing structure mentioned for proposal submissions. The substantial scope of 4,767 line items spanning critical medical readiness supplies suggests this will be a significant procurement opportunity supporting military medical operations and preparedness requirements.
