Project Overview:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is pursuing the modernization of the Stamford Hurricane Barrier by upgrading the legacy Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to a modern industrial automation platform with a touchscreen interface as well as refurbishing the abutment Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) at each abutment. Detailed Scope of Work:

Reusable structural components will be thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and certified prior to reinstallation.
Concurrently, the Contractor will transition the control architecture to a modern industrial control platform. The legacy manual controls will be decommissioned and replaced with a consolidated operator console featuring an integrated touchscreen Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for primary operations, alongside a dedicated, hardwired manual backup panel.
