About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) is seeking to procure 5 units of NSN 7E-5895-015935824, a specific technical control component requiring repair or modification. The solicitation indicates that the government does not own the data or rights necessary to contract repair from multiple sources and has determined that acquiring such data rights would be uneconomical. This pre-solicitation notice is intended to identify potential sources capable of fulfilling the requirement, with the government planning to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority. All interested firms are required to include their CAGE code when submitting solicitation requests. The government will consider proposals received within 45 days of the synopsis publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement), though this is not a competitive proposal request.

The pre-solicitation does not include a specific set-aside designation, and the potential award value is not disclosed in the notice. Interested companies, particularly those not currently approved as sources for this item, can express their capabilities by completing a Vendor Interest Form on the NAVSUP Business Opportunities web portal. The procurement falls under PSC Category 7G20 for IT and Telecom Network Analog Voice Products. While the government is not using FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition, companies have 15 days to demonstrate their ability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item. The award process will not be delayed to obtain approval for new potential vendors, and companies can obtain necessary specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point's Document Automation and Production Service.
