About this opportunity

The Nebraska Air National Guard is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Synopsis to identify qualified contractors capable of constructing a negatively pressurized conex fabric storage facility. The project requires the design, engineering, fabrication, delivery, and erection of a 64' x 30' temporary fabric storage facility to accommodate two Negatively Pressurized Conex (NPC) units used for medical/patient transport purposes. Key requirements include 28-ounce fabric construction with a 10-year warranty, comprehensive power infrastructure, HVAC systems maintaining temperatures between 50-80 degrees with 80% relative humidity, security features including a 22' x 14' garage door and two personnel doors with keyed locks, and both exterior and interior lighting solutions. This is a market research initiative only, with no proposals being requested or accepted at this time, and interested parties must submit their company name, UEI, and capability statement via email to reid.dalton@us.af.mil by June 18, 2025, with the subject line "Sources Sought W50S89-25-R-RD01."

This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, specifically targeting small business concerns including 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The facility must house two NPC units, each weighing approximately 9,500 lbs empty and requiring 120V power connections for their medical equipment and environmental control systems. The storage facility specifications include high-line docks with roller decks and comprehensive electrical systems to support both the NPCs and facility lighting needs. No current contractors or incumbents are identified in the documentation, and no budget ranges or award values are specified as this remains in the preliminary market research phase. The Nebraska Air National Guard has indicated that requirements documents are still being drafted and they are open to industry input on key specifications for this specialized medical storage requirement.
