About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) is seeking a contractor to repair concrete beams and piles at its Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory (CHL) Field Research Facility (FRF) in Duck, North Carolina. The work involves removing and repairing damaged concrete on 8 approach ramp beams and 28 platform piles, installing cathodic protection anodes, applying corrosion inhibitors and protective coatings, and installing carbon fiber fabric wraps on the piles. The contractor must provide stamped engineering drawings and comply with specific material and performance requirements. The work is to be completed within 120 days of contract award and will be inspected by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Quotes are due by 12:00pm CST on August 28, 2024, and the government intends to award a single purchase order to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror.

Update #2 · Latest ·

*Amendment 1 amends the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and incorporates questions and answers.

The Field Research Facility (FRF) located in Duck, North Carolina is a remote field station of the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC). The original main office building (Building 0001) sits on the now 45-year-old elevated concrete slab supported by concrete beams and piles. A reinforced concrete ramp which abuts the building platform provides access to research pier. While most of the structure appears to be in good condition with minor shrinkage cracks, several platform piles and the approach ramp beams exhibit moderate and major spalling and delamination. This requirement is to repair the ramp beams and platform piles to maintain its safety. See attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) for additional information.
