About this opportunity

The Drug Enforcement Administration issued a sole source justification notice for a firm-fixed price purchase order with Sandoval Customs Creations, Inc. for concealments with audio/visual microphone, with capability statements due by September 17, 2026 at 2:00 PM EST. The procurement is restricted to a single vendor under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) (Only One Source Reasonably Available), justified on grounds that Sandoval's audio and video concealment products meet DEA's security, reliability, and law enforcement compliance requirements—including advanced encryption, tamper-resistant features, and seamless integration with existing DEA systems—with few competing small businesses capable of matching these technical capabilities. The DEA's Office of Acquisition, through its Office of Investigative Technologies, conducted market research through GSA and open market searches that identified limited alternative vendors. Delivery is scheduled for September 30, 2026. This is a non-recurring requirement under simplified acquisition procedures (FAR 12.201-1). The Government reserves discretion to conduct a competitive procurement based on capability statements received; this notice is not a request for proposal. Sources interested in submitting capability statements should contact Ms. Angel Barkley at angel.d.barkley@dea.gov.
