About this opportunity
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Counterterrorism Division (CTD) is seeking contractors to provide a five-day baseline concealed pistol training course and a separate three-day concealed pistol sustainment training course for its Fly Team Agents. The training is intended to equip agents with the fundamentals of drawing, manipulating clothing, and shooting from concealment in various environments and conditions. Contractors must be familiar with the FBI's Deadly Force Policy and have relevant firearms training experience. The training will take place at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Responses to the Request for Information (RFI) are due by April 26, 2024, and must include information on the contractor's three most relevant contracts from the past five years, with at least two being as the prime contractor or significant subcontractor.
This is not a set-aside opportunity, and the FBI has not provided any information about potential incumbents or current contractors. The RFI does not specify a budget range or award value, but the period of performance is from June 25-27, 2024, for the three-day sustainment course, and August 12-16, 2024, for the five-day baseline course.
Notice text
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Counterterrorism Division (CTD) Fly Team detects and disrupts threat actors from engaging in criminal or terrorist activities in OCONUS environments through the deployment of specially trained Agents alongside DoD partners in order to further FBI/ Intelligence Community (IC) cases against known subjects and illuminate threats to the homeland.
The anticipated requirement is an effort detailed in the attached Statement of Work (SOW) for a contracted, single-award Concealed Pistol Training.
The FBI requires both a five-day (5-day) baseline concealed pistol training course and a separate three-day (3-day) concealed pistol sustainment training course for Fly Team Agents that have already completed the baseline training.
