About this opportunity

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) and Sources Sought Notice seeking industry input on maintenance and repair capabilities for Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment at its Macon, Georgia facility. This pre-solicitation notice is intended for planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals, an obligation to award a contract, or a commitment to reimburse respondents for submission costs. The notice specifically targets contractors classified under NAICS code 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors) who possess existing capability to service multiple equipment models from manufacturers including Liebert/Vertiv, Daikin, and Carrier. As an RFI rather than a formal solicitation, no specific evaluation criteria have been established, and respondents will not be notified of evaluation results. The response deadline is March 11, 2026, with the notice having been posted on February 27, 2026.

This opportunity carries no set-aside designations and no incumbent contractor information is provided in the pre-solicitation notice. The notice does not disclose a specific contract award value or budget range, as the RFI is designed to gauge market capability rather than to solicit binding proposals. The equipment requiring maintenance and repair support includes multiple units across several product lines: Liebert/Vertiv DS and DSE Air Units ranging from 15 to 36 tons, Liebert/Vertiv Deluxe Systems, Daikin HVAC and COND units, and Carrier fan coil equipment. Submitting a response to this RFI does not guarantee that a firm will be solicited for a subsequent proposal, and all information submitted becomes the property of the Government. Interested contractors should view this notice as an opportunity to establish their qualifications and capabilities with OPM for potential future contracting activity related to CRAC and HVAC maintenance and repair services.
