About this opportunity

The Air Force Test Pilot School Operating Location at Edwards Air Force Base has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole-source, Firm-Fixed Price contract to Compunetix, Inc. for hardware warranty services. The contract falls under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13, covering acquisition of commercial services and simplified acquisition procedures. Compunetix, Inc., located in Monroeville, PA, has been identified as the sole source provider for system and accessory sales, replacement parts, extended manufacturer's warranty software support, and hardware repairs. The contract is categorized under NAICS code 334310 for Audio and Video Equipment Manufacturing, with a size standard of 750 employees. This sole-source procurement is being conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901, which allows for non-competitive acquisition when supplies or services are available from only one responsible source.

Contractors interested in this opportunity must submit a comprehensive technical package demonstrating their capability to meet the government's requirements by January 29, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Submission should be made to Carlos Barrera at Edwards Air Force Base, either via physical mail or email, with contact information provided in the notice. All respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov and include any special requirements for a commercial contract in accordance with FAR Part 12. While this is primarily a sole-source notice, the government will consider all responses received within 5 days of publication to potentially reassess the procurement strategy. The anticipated contract award date is January 30, 2025. Interested parties with concerns or questions are directed to first contact the Contracting Officer, and if unresolved, can reach out to the Air Force Test Center Ombudsman for further assistance.
