About this opportunity

Paragraph 1:

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is conducting market research through a Sources Sought announcement for Compressed Gas Products, Specialty Gases, and Cryogenic Liquids required for its Boulder, Colorado campus. NIST seeks information from prime contractors capable of providing compressed gases, liquid cryogens, specialty gases, and dry ice in NIST-owned and contractor-owned containers, as well as maintaining and testing NIST-owned cylinders. The contractor must also provide a single portal tracking system to manage and track all cylinders on the NIST campus. NIST intends to award a single Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a one-year base period and two one-year option periods. Interested companies must submit capability statements addressing their qualifications, experience, and availability by the specified response date.

Paragraph 2:

This Sources Sought announcement does not include any set-aside designations, as NIST is conducting market research to identify potential qualified contractors of all business sizes, including small businesses. The NAICS code associated with this requirement is likely 325120 (Industrial Gas Manufacturing), and the PSC code is likely 6830 (Compressed Gases). NIST has not provided any information about potential incumbent contractors or the estimated award value. However, the Sources Sought indicates that NIST intends to establish a single IDIQ contract to provide the required gases, liquids, and related services to the NIST Boulder campus.
