About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Redstone Arsenal has issued a Special Notice seeking market research information for a Compressed Air Desiccant Dryer System for the Army's Primary Standards Laboratory (APSL). The procurement requires one Regenerative Desiccant Dryer, two Compressed Air Filters, and one Zero Air Loss Auto Drain to be delivered to Building 5435, Fowler Road Redstone Arsenal. This Special Notice was posted on June 24, 2025, with responses due by July 8, 2025. The opportunity falls under NAICS code 333912 for Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing and PSC code 4310 for Compressors and Vacuum Pumps. The solicitation number is PANRSA25P0000014793 and does not utilize any set-aside designations.
The primary objective of this Special Notice is to conduct market research and identify potential sources capable of providing equipment to replace the APSL's existing compressed air dryer, which has experienced excessive downtime due to heating component failures. The new system must meet specific technical requirements including 360 CFM output capacity, achievement of at least a -40C output dewpoint, a compact footprint of approximately 14" by 20", and easily accessible tower assemblies for filter changes. The replacement dryer will serve as a redundancy system to ensure continuous calibration operations at the laboratory. Contractors interested in participating must be able to meet these technical specifications and provide cost-effective solutions within the CFM class. The Special Notice represents the Army's effort to maintain operational continuity for critical calibration functions by securing reliable backup equipment for their compressed air system.
