About this file
The document is a Purchase Description for a Compressed Air Desiccant Dryer System procurement by the U.S. Army Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment Activity (USATA). The requirement is for one Regenerative Desiccant Dryer, two Compressed Air Filters, and one Zero Air Loss Auto Drain to be delivered to the Army's Primary Standards Laboratory (APSL) at Building 5435, Fowler Road Redstone Arsenal. The procurement is driven by the need to replace an existing dryer experiencing excessive downtime due to heating component failures.
The specific system requirements include an output of 360 CFM, a -40°C output dewpoint, a compact footprint of approximately 14" by 20", and easily changeable tower assemblies for filters. The new dryer will serve as a redundancy unit to ensure continuous calibration operations. The solicitation (PANRSA25P0000014793) is a Special Notice intended to conduct market research to identify potential sources that can meet these technical specifications for the compressed air system.

Purchase Description Procurement of Compressed Air Desiccant Dryer System
The U.S. Army Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment Activity (USATA) has a requirement to procure one (1) Compressed Air Desiccant Dryer System to include one Regenerative Desiccant Dryer, two (2) Compressed Air Filters, and one (1) Zero Air Loss Auto Drain for the Army’s Primary Standards Laboratory (APSL). The APSL’s primary dryer for the compressed airline exhibits excessive downtime due to component failures centered around the dryer’s heating components. The new dryer will serve as redundancy for the primary dryer to ensure that the APSL can maintain calibration operations. The equipment shall be delivered to APSL, located at Building 5435, Fowler Road Redstone Arsenal. The Compressed Air Desiccant Dryer System module shall include the following specifications or equivalent (if not brand name):
1.0 Requirements:
· Has an output specification of 360 CFM
· Achieves at least a -40°C output dewpoint
· Requires a main footprint of approximately 14” by 20”
· Contains easy to change/access tower assemblies for filters
· Among the least expensive in CFM class (<$15k)
2.0 Delivery Requirements
