About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking a manufacturer for the COMPARATOR MODULE,S, a specialized electronic component within the Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing category. The solicitation, posted on September 20, 2024, with proposals due by July 11, 2025, requires potential contractors to submit a firm-fixed-price offer via email to brandyn.a.miller2.civ@us.navy.mil. Contractors must adhere to specific manufacturing and quality requirements, including compliance with MIL-STD-129 for item marking and MIL-STD-2073 for packaging. The contract will focus on precise manufacturing specifications, with strict guidelines for any potential design changes or part number modifications. Contractors must demonstrate their capability to meet the Navy's detailed technical and quality assurance standards, including maintaining comprehensive inspection records for 365 days after final delivery.
The solicitation does not indicate a specific set-aside for small businesses, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned. While the exact award value is not specified, the contract will be issued as FOB ORIGIN with a firm-fixed-price structure. The procurement is specifically for the COMPARATOR MODULE,S with a reference number 03538 8494238G1, suggesting a potentially limited production run. Potential offerors must be authorized distributors of the original manufacturer's item and must provide proof of distribution authorization on company letterhead. The contract is classified under Product Service Code 5865 for Electronic Countermeasures and Counter-Countermeasures Equipment, indicating a specialized technical component likely intended for naval electronic systems. Contractors should be prepared to demonstrate comprehensive quality control processes and the ability to meet stringent military manufacturing standards.
