About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 50 units of a Comparator Module (NSN 7H-5865-016275857) with Technical Data Package Version 004. The government intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1, indicating a potential sole-source procurement. All interested firms are required to include their CAGE Code when submitting solicitation requests. Potential vendors can obtain relevant military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) via online platforms like ASSIST-Online or by contacting their help desk. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement) to submit proposals, capability statements, or demonstrate their ability to meet the requirement.
This pre-solicitation notice does not have a specific set-aside designation and involves an Electronic Countermeasures equipment procurement. The government has determined it is uneconomical to purchase the data rights or reverse engineer the part, which suggests a specialized or unique component. Delivery will be FOB Origin for the 50 unit order, with a reference number of 8494238G1. While no specific award value is mentioned, the procurement is for a specialized military equipment module. The solicitation is not being processed under FAR Part 12 for commercial items, and the government retains full discretion in determining whether to compete the contract based on responses received.
