About this opportunity

The Department of Energy's Office of Science, through the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), is seeking qualified subcontractors to support its Community EV Readiness Planning effort. The objective is to provide direct technical assistance to communities (cities, counties, regional planning organizations, and tribal nations) to strategically deploy publicly accessible EV charging and alternative fueling infrastructure. Key requirements include developing comprehensive EV readiness plans that address needs assessment, vision/goals, strategies, funding, and monitoring. NREL anticipates potentially making multiple awards and will use a two-step process, beginning with a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) where interested parties must submit capability statements by July 1, 2024, followed by a competitive RFP.

This procurement is not set aside for any particular business size or socioeconomic category. The anticipated period of performance is a 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods, for a total of up to 60 months. NREL reserves the right to set aside all or part of the award for small businesses under NAICS code 541690. No potential incumbents or current contractors were named, and details on award values or budget ranges were not provided.
