About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 8 units of a Common Power Supply with National Stock Number 7R-6130-015855285-P8. This pre-solicitation notice indicates the government intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1, though they will consider proposals from interested parties submitted within 45 days of publication. All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, with the government reserving sole discretion to determine competitive procurement. Proposals will only be considered if the offeror, product/service, or manufacturer meets specific qualification requirements at the time of award. Additional documentation and specifications can be obtained through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) in Philadelphia, either online via ASSIST-Quick Search or through direct contact with their help desk.
The pre-solicitation does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned. The contract appears to be subject to Free Trade Agreements and potentially the Buy American Act, depending on which DFARS clauses are ultimately included in the solicitation. The procurement is categorized under PSC 6130 for Nonrotating Electrical Converters, with delivery specified as FOB Origin. While no specific award value is disclosed, the quantity of 8 units suggests a relatively focused procurement. Interested parties have 15 days to identify potential commercial item solutions, and the government has explicitly noted they will not be using FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition in this solicitation. The proposal due date is March 18, 2025, providing potential vendors approximately 45 days to prepare and submit their responses.
