About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires has issued a Request for Solutions Brief (RFSB) for the Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML) Weapon System Integrator (WSI) prototype and integration effort under contract number W50RAJ269A002. This Special Notice, posted on February 26, 2026, solicits complete solutions from eligible firms to serve as the Weapon System Integrator responsible for integrating autonomous and munition subsystems into a cohesive CAML system. The Department of the Army intends to award an Other Transaction Agreement for Prototype (OTAP) pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 4022 authority. The CAML system consists of a crewed Leader vehicle and autonomous Follower launchers connected via an Autonomy Command and Control system, designed to support four munition variants including Tomahawk, PAC-3/MSE, IFPC AIM-9X, and GMLRS/PrSM. This acquisition represents a significant research and development initiative in defense-related experimental development and advanced weapon systems integration.

Solutions Briefs must be submitted by 12:00 PM ET on March 20, 2026, not to exceed ten pages including the cover page, and must address technical approach, qualifications and experience, and rough order of magnitude pricing. Only U.S.-based companies with the ability to process and store SECRET information and possessing SECRET facility clearance eligibility are permitted to participate. The competition employs a three-phase process in which Phase 1 evaluates submitted Solutions Briefs, Phase 2 may invite selected offerors for oral presentations scheduled for April 6-8, 2026, and Phase 3 issues a Request for Prototype Proposal to meritorious offerors with final award based on best-value considering technical merit and cost, where experience is weighted more heavily than technical approach and cost is least important. Key milestones include CAGE Code submission by March 3, 2026, Questions deadline of March 10, 2026, and cost proposal due date of May 22, 2026. Four firms—KODA Technologies, PeopleTec Inc., Monte Sano Research Corporation, and Intuitive Research & Technology Corporation—are identified as non-Government advisors and are prohibited from competing.
