About this opportunity
The Department of the Army's Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking qualified Weapon System Integrators (WSI) for the Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML) program. This Special Notice, posted on December 1, 2025, solicits information from potential sources capable of providing the technical skills, facilities, tooling, and personnel necessary to serve as a systems integrator. The government intends to use responses to shape future acquisition strategy phases and identify capable contractors for this critical defense initiative. CAML represents an autonomous or optionally crewed, highly mobile, air-transportable multi-domain fires launcher designed to augment or replace existing Army launchers while supporting autonomous convoy modes. This RFI is a non-binding market research effort to assess industrial capability and inform subsequent procurement decisions.
Interested contractors must submit a six-page capability statement by December 15, 2025, at noon central time, demonstrating their systems integration experience and relevant capabilities. The WSI will be responsible for integrating separately procured autonomous mobility platforms and munitions pallets into a complete CAML system, with an expected integration and testing timeline of 18 months following contract award. Key qualifications should include system-level engineering expertise, interface requirement management, system architecture development, test and evaluation management, rapid prototyping capabilities, classified information management experience, and familiarity with fire control systems, missiles, and vehicle platforms. U.S. companies are eligible to participate, with non-traditional defense contractors explicitly encouraged to respond. An industry day is scheduled for January 21-22, 2026, providing an opportunity for potential contractors to gain additional program insights and clarifications.
