About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) FIRES has issued a Request for Solutions Brief (RFSB) for the Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML) program, which seeks prototype solutions for autonomous military systems. This Special Notice, posted on February 26, 2026, announces the Department of the Army's intent to award Other Transaction Agreements for Prototype (OTAP) contracts under 10 U.S.C. 4022. The solicitation targets U.S.-based companies capable of handling classified information and hardware at the SECRET level. Three primary components form the focus of this acquisition: an Autonomous Mobility Platform (AMP) with autonomous resupply and munitions handling capabilities, a crewed CAML Leader vehicle with autonomy integration, and an Autonomy Command and Control (C2) system. The initiative represents a significant investment in advancing autonomous technologies for multi-domain military operations.
Interested contractors must submit Solutions Briefs by March 27, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET, with a maximum length of 10 pages plus separate cost documentation addressing technical approach, qualifications, and pricing. Eligible contractors must be U.S.-based companies with SECRET facility clearance capabilities and must register their CAGE codes by March 3, 2026 to receive the controlled unclassified Performance Work Statement. The competition proceeds through three phases: Phase 1 (Solutions Brief submission), Phase 2 (oral presentations April 13-15, 2026 for selected offerors), and Phase 3 (capability demonstrations June 22-27, 2026 with potential concurrent prototype proposal requests). Evaluation will emphasize technical merit regarding autonomous system design, Performance Work Statement compliance, facility capabilities, realistic scheduling, data rights considerations, relevant qualifications, and affordable pricing. The Government reserves the right to modify or cancel the RFSB and makes no guarantee of contract awards.
