About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires issued a Request for Solutions Brief (RFSB) for the Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML) Autonomous Mobility Platform (AMP) Prototype — 36K Lbs. Variant on August 11, 2026, with solutions briefs due by 12:00 PM ET on September 1, 2026. Only U.S. companies holding facility clearances to process and store SECRET information are eligible. The Army intends to award an Other Transaction Agreement for Prototype (OTAP) under 10 U.S.C. 4022.
The RFSB seeks prototype development for three integrated components: an Autonomous Mobility Platform capable of autonomously loading, transporting, and firing munitions up to 36,000 pounds; a modular Leader Vehicle Autonomy Kit for integration onto multiple vehicle platforms; and a complete autonomy software suite for command and control operations. Solutions must address integration with specific munition systems (Tomahawk, PAC-3/MSE, IFPC AIM-9X, MRLS MFOM) and fire control systems (IBCS, TTWCS, AFATDS, AXS).
Solutions briefs are limited to ten pages (exclusive of rough-order-of-magnitude pricing). Evaluation proceeds in three phases: Phase 1 assesses technical approach, qualifications, and ROM pricing; Phase 2 may invite oral presentations; Phase 3 may include site visits, demonstrations, and issuance of a Request for Prototype Proposal with final award determination based on technical merit and price. The RFSB satisfies competition requirements, potentially enabling follow-on production without additional competition. The Government will enforce Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) standards and retain full data ownership of Interface Control Documents and Technical Data Packages.
