About this opportunity
The Engineer Research and Development Center's Geospatial Research Laboratory is seeking innovative commercial solutions through a Commercial Solutions Opening to support six key research and development thrust areas including mission command decision environments, full-3D mapping capabilities, holistic geospatial foundation development, remote sensing and mapping capabilities, terrain-based positioning and navigation technologies, and earth system dynamics for situational understanding. The ERDC-GRL executes projects on behalf of multiple Army organizations including the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology), Army Futures Command, US Army Corps of Engineers, and various other government entities. All solutions must be submitted through the ERDCWERX platform, with detailed requirements and submission guidelines available at the specified website. The submission period for general areas of interest opens on June 24, 2024, and closes at 1700 CDT on July 15, 2024, though individual program requirements may specify different deadlines. The overall solicitation remains open until June 30, 2025, allowing for ongoing submission of solutions throughout this extended period.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations, making it open to all qualified commercial entities. The solicitation does not specify current incumbents, contract values, or budget ranges, as is typical for Commercial Solutions Opening formats which allow for flexible pricing based on proposed solutions. No specific quantities of goods or detailed service timelines are provided, reflecting the broad, innovative nature of the CSO approach that encourages varied commercial solutions across the six research thrust areas. The place of performance is not explicitly stated in the notice, though the work would presumably support the Engineer Research and Development Center's geospatial research operations. The solicitation is categorized under NAICS code 339999 for All Other Miscellaneous Manufacturing and PSC code 9999 for Miscellaneous Items, indicating the broad scope of potential solutions being sought.
