About this opportunity

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a civilian agency within the Department of Commerce, has issued a Special Notice seeking information from qualified vendors regarding the procurement of Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) Software as a Service (SaaS) Mobile Device Management (MDM) cloud hosted service licenses. Currently utilizing IBM's MaaS360 to manage approximately 4,500 devices, NOAA aims to acquire a comprehensive solution that can effectively manage multiple operating system platforms across its enterprise. Vendors responding to this Request for Information (RFI) must provide detailed information addressing 13 specific questions covering technical capabilities, security features, and integration potential. The solution must demonstrate ability to manage iOS, Android, and Microsoft devices with robust security compliance measures, including device access controls and malware alerts. Submissions are limited to 5 pages in PDF format and must be received by 11:00 AM EST on December 27, 2024, with vendors required to include company information, capabilities statements, relevant experience examples, and preliminary pricing models. Key technical requirements include supporting Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) controls and integrating with existing NOAA systems such as Google Workspace, ForgeRock OpenAm, and OpenIDM. This RFI represents an opportunity for technology providers to showcase their mobile device management solutions that can meet the complex operational and security needs of a federal scientific agency.
