About this opportunity
The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Application Contracting Office (TAKO), is conducting market research through a sources sought notice ahead of anticipated sole-source contract modification to Collins Aerospace (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) for Life Cycle Contractor Support Service (LCCS) under the Tactical Mission Networking (TMN) program, with responses due by September 28, 2026.
USSOCOM intends to award this modification under FAR 6.302-1 authority (Only One Responsible Source), citing unavailability of technical data required to develop engineering descriptions, technical data packages, or specifications necessary for full and open competition. The modification expands the scope of the existing Firm Fixed Price and Cost-plus-Fixed Fee contract to increase procurement activity of new core components and expand the number of items actively managed and repaired as part of the life cycle support function.
This sources sought notice serves as market research to determine whether a competitive acquisition is viable before USSOCOM finalizes the Justification and Approval amendment supporting sole-source execution. The original contract covers depot-level maintenance and repair, spare and repair parts management, sustainment, programmatic support, and technical support for primary hardware installed on supported aircraft.
No set-aside applies. The acquisition falls under NAICS 334511 (Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing) and PSC R425 (Support—Professional: Engineering/Technical).
