About this opportunity
The 18th Communication Squadron of the Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces is seeking to procure 80 units each of the Cisco BiDi SFP models GLC-BX-U-I and GLC-BX-D-I. These Cisco-branded transceivers enable fiber optic communications over a single strand of single-mode fiber, reducing the agency's fiber usage. The items must be genuine Cisco products, as use of non-Cisco SFPs would void the switch warranties. Quotes are due by September 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM Japan Standard Time. Award will be made to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror, with technical acceptability based on the products meeting the specified requirements. Past performance will also be evaluated, and the government will check for any debarments or exclusions.
This solicitation is set aside for small businesses. The estimated value of the contract is not provided. Delivery is required within 30 days of order receipt to Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. The NAICS code is 334111 - Electronic Computer Manufacturing, and the PSC code is 7E20-P - IT and Telecom - End User: Help Desk; Tier 1-2, Workspace, Print, Output, Productivity Tools (HW/Perp SW).
Notice text
18th Communication Squadron (18 CS) is requesting transceivers that enable fiber optic communications over a single model

strands.
