This procurement falls under the electrical and electronic assemblies category and requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to maintain quality standards. The due date for this pre-solicitation is September 2, 2025, with responses to be considered within 45 days of publication, and interested parties have 15 days to identify commercial item capabilities.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designation and is structured as a no set-aside opportunity. While no specific incumbent contractors are named in the notice, the requirement emphasizes that qualified sources already possess unique design capabilities, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge necessary for this specialized component. The exact contract value is not specified in the pre-solicitation notice, though it involves a relatively small quantity of 11 units total. The Government has indicated a preference for early and incremental deliveries, suggesting flexibility in the delivery schedule. The procurement process allows for bilateral agreement formation when contractual documents are issued through mail, facsimile, or electronic methods including email.
