About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 3 units of Circuit Card Assemblies under NSN 7H-5998-015064159, TDP VER 006. This procurement is classified under PSC 5998 for Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, Boards, Cards, and Associated Hardware. The acquisition must be sourced from suppliers specified on source control or selected item drawings per DoD-STD-100 requirements, as the government lacks suitable technical data, data rights, or manufacturing knowledge to permit competitive sourcing. The contract requires FOB origin delivery and involves specialized electronic components that cannot be qualified for testing or second-source applications due to limited technical documentation. The government intends to conduct sole-source negotiations under specific authorization, with interested parties able to obtain relevant military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point in Philadelphia. The opportunity was posted on January 4, 2024, with a due date of October 23, 2025.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and appears designed for sole-source acquisition due to the specialized nature and limited availability of technical data. The contract calls for delivery of exactly 3 units of the specified circuit card assemblies, indicating a relatively small quantity procurement likely for maintenance or replacement purposes. No specific incumbent contractor or potential award values are mentioned in the notice. The extended timeline from posting to due date spans nearly two years, suggesting either a complex procurement process or flexible delivery requirements. The FOB origin delivery terms place shipping responsibility on the government once goods are delivered to the contractor's facility.
