About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 37 circuit card assemblies with a specific National Stock Number (NSN 7H-5998-015190789) and Technical Data Package (TDP) Version 004. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1, indicating a potential sole-source procurement. All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement within 45 days of the notice's publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The government has determined it is uneconomical to purchase the data rights or reverse engineer the part. Interested parties can obtain relevant specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) using various methods, including online access through ASSIST-Online or direct contact with the DODSSP Help Desk.

The procurement does not have a specific set-aside designation and is not being pursued under FAR Part 12 for commercial items. The contract will involve delivery FOB origin, and the solicitation may be subject to Free Trade Agreements and the Buy American Act, depending on which DFARS clauses are included in the final solicitation. The procurement falls under Product Service Code (PSC) 5998 for Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, Boards, Cards, and Associated Hardware. While no specific award value is mentioned, the quantity of 37 units suggests a focused, potentially specialized procurement. The current opportunity is a pre-solicitation notice, with a posted date of June 22, 2024, and a due date of March 21, 2025, providing potential contractors an extended period to prepare and respond to the government's requirements.
