About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 14 circuit card assemblies (NSN 7H-5998-015061962) for repair and modification, with delivery specified as FOB Origin. The procurement will be conducted under a single-source approach authorized by FAR 6.302-1, meaning the government intends to negotiate with only one source. Interested parties have 15 days from the February 11, 2025 notice date to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement, with a response deadline of March 14, 2025. The government has determined it is uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the part, which impacts potential competitive bidding. While all responsible sources may express interest, the government retains sole discretion in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this contract opportunity. Technical documentation for the part is version 003, and potential vendors can access relevant specifications through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) at Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia, PA. Interested parties can retrieve documents via ASSIST-Online or contact the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk if internet access is unavailable. The contract is categorized under Product Service Code 5998-P for Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, Boards, Cards, and Associated Hardware. The government has explicitly stated this procurement will not follow FAR Part 12 policies for commercial items, suggesting a specialized or military-specific requirement for the circuit card assemblies.
